PBX Console Access via LAN port
This connection operates while the PBX and the LAN IP connectivity are fully functional. If the PBX's network fails or the PBX's configuration become incompatible with the network configuration such access tool becomes non operational.
Some PBX's have a separate LAN port dedicated to maintenance connections: in this case HyperManage through the HyperNode allows to make all maintenance sessions without having the PBX port directly connected to the internal company LAN.

PBX Console Access via Serial Console port
This connection is realised by connecting the physical serial port of the HyperNode to the PBX's Serial Console Port if available.
This connection remains operational independently from the Local Area Network port operational status. As far as the HyperNode has a route to reach the HyperServer either via the primary WAN/LAN link or via a Secondary Network Connection or an Out-of-Band Connection like a 3G based link created by inserting a USB 3G Key into the HyperNode, then the PBX's serial console port will remain remotely accessible.
The Power Control Function will also remain functional in such a condition and this will allow not only to keep active the PBX serial console link but will allow also to give a cold boot to the PBX if required. The Serial Console Port remains accessible and operational even during the PBX's reset and reboot phases and this allows active technician intervention during such phases making possible to perform changes or even performing a full reload of device's primary configurations and il will allow even the reloading and upgrading of the device's firmware.

Remote Power Control
Remote Power Control allows to switch the PBX off and on again as needed to give it a full cold boot in critical situation.
NOTE: during a cold boot the remote connection through the serial console port will remain connected even during the device's boot process: this will allow to control it and to be able to input data and command to the console port as needed via the remote keyboard.

Central stored backups
Backups of all the PBX's configuration changes can be saved on the central HyperServer depending on the PBX make and model. All the previous and the current configurations of the PBX can be accessed, and reloaded at any time as required.

Automatic login procedures
The login procedure to the PBX as well as all login procedures of all managed devices that are necessary to give access to the PBX to a technician can be centrally performed by HyperServer via the HyperManage auto-login function. This leaves credentials (for example the Usernames and the Passwords) necessary to login on the different devices known only to the HyperServer. When the access of a technician to a device or to the entire system has to be suspended it is suspended by centrally disabling his RSA-key and no other security precautions are needed because technicians do not have knowledge of any credentials necessary to login onto the different devices.
